ROMA scosso con THE ROLLING STONES FANTASTICHE!!!

The setting was Rome in the 21st century, but it must have been incredible to see the boys in that ancient setting, which required seismologists and "antiquities squads" hired to protect the venue, while allowing maximum rock n' roll at the ancient Circus Maximus! Joined by John Mayer for "Respectable," the band also broke out "Streets Of Love" (with Mick Taylor on stage) for the first time since 2007. Here's the set list:

1. Jumping Jack Flash

Next stop! May 29th in Portugal for “Rock In Rio – Lisbon!” Punch my ticket, I wanna be there!

5/20/14

It’s been a while since the shocking death of Jagger’s lady, L’Wren Scott, which forced the band to come up from Down Under and reschedule those dates. Mick recently posted on Facebook: "I am still struggling to understand how my lover and best friend could end her life in this tragic way. We spent many wonderful years together and had made a great life for ourselves."

While he is justifiably still shaken and recovering from the tragedy, he and the rest of The Stones soldier on, with rehearsals underway. Ronnie Wood posted up a picture of his axes at a band practice space, “guarded” by his dog on social media.

So, the bad boys are back, and getting ready to re-emerge on the 26th in Norway, and then at Rock In Rio – Lisbon on May 29th!

Of course, a kick in his bits (just kidding) came this past weekend when his granddaughter, Assisi gave birth, making Sir Mick a GREAT-grandfather. Somehow, I always thought Charlie, Bill, or even Keith, would have reached that status before Jagger.

After Lisbon, they hit Zurich, Tel Aviv, the Pinkpop Festival in the Netherlands, Berlin, Paris, Vienna, Dusseldorf, Rome and Milan before playing the TW Classic in Belgium, to round out the month of June!

I’ll keep you posted throughout, and of course, I’m keeping an eye on another possible U.S. run after the Aussie shows reset for this Fall.
