Posted 2/7/2013 1:09:00 PM

Philadelphia Flyers players, coaching staff and Alumni will raise awareness and funds for numerous causes during the 36th Annual Flyers Wives Fight for Lives Carnival at the Wells Fargo Center on Sunday, March 3 from 1:30 p.m. until 6 p.m. Tickets to attend the 36th Carnival, the largest fundraiser of the year for Flyers Charities and Comcast-Spectacor Charities, will go on-sale on Friday, January 25 at 10 a.m. exclusively through ComcastTIX at 1-800-298-4200, online at ComcastTIX.com or in person at the Wells Fargo Center Box Office.
"If it matters in our community, it's important to Comcast-Spectacor," said Comcast-Spectacor President Peter Luukko. "The Flyers Wives Fight for Lives Carnival has become a tradition within the Flyers organization of giving our fans the opportunity to meet their favorite players while helping numerous causes supported by Comcast-Spectacor Charities. We are proud of the significant difference in our community that the funds from this event allow us to make and look forward to another successful Carnival this year.”
Fans will have the opportunity to meet and take pictures with their favorite Flyers players, play state of the art games and activities, such as Wii Boxing (on a 16-foot inflatable movie screen) and Xbox360 Sony Playstation3 Move! Favorites include Shot-on-Goal (take a shot on a Flyers Goalie), Carnival games, Dunk Tank and Flyers Alumni.

New to this year’s Carnival is a free exhibit, the Flyers Press Conference Photo Opportunity where fans can sit at the actual Flyers press conference table and take photos. This area will be open throughout the duration of the Carnival.  Also new this year is the opportunity to take a tour of the Flyers Press Box. A limited number of tickets for the Flyers Press Box Tours will be available for sale at the Carnivalat $5 per person.
Pre-purchased Early Admission tickets are $35 and will allow fans to enter the building at 1:30 p.m.  General Admission tickets will allow fans to enter at 3 p.m. and are available for Adults ($20) and Children 12 and under ($15). Children under 2 years of age are admitted free.
After a successful first year of offering a combination autograph and photograph booth at last year’s Carnival, the Flyers have added Danny Briere, Claude Giroux and Scott Hartnell. A limited number of tickets are available for $65. Brayden and Luke Schenn (i.e. The Schenn Brothers together at one booth) are also available for the combination autograph and photograph booth for $75.
Since its inception Comcast-Spectacor Charities (ComcastSpectacorCharities.org), which encompasses Flyers Charities and Global Spectrum Charities, has contributed $25 million to charity. The funds raised from the Flyers Wives Fight For Lives Carnival and other initiatives of Comcast-Spectacor Charities help support hundreds of non-profit organizations throughout the Greater Philadelphia Region, including the Ed Snider Youth Hockey Foundation.
Comcast-Spectacor Charities prides itself on helping support not just one, but a multitude of worthy non-profit organizations that benefit everything from important health care initiatives such as heart health and stroke and cancer awareness to various youth recreation programs and plenty more.
