Michael Tearson has been on Philly FM radio playing rock music virtually as long as rock music has been on FM in Philly! Born in Baltimore, he first took the air on WXPN while still an undergrade at the University of Pennsylvania. Since his first gig on radio, he went on to work for WMMR (1970-76 & 1978-1992) and then later divided his time simultaneously working on several other projects (part-time at WXPN, WALL record store's station, acting in movies, writes for Sing Out! and Audiophile Voice, and Philadelphia Daily News Pro wrestling columnist). Finally, Michael joined the MGK family in 2002 and developed the Saturday Morning 60s Show. Clearly a man of many talents, Michael has become a true Philly icon, well-loved by both radio listeners and readers.
