Cyndy Drue grew up outside Philadelphia in Worcester, Pa listening to the "boss jocks" on WFIL. She had a radio show at Centenary College in New Jersey, her first job at WSAN in Allentown, and eventually landed at her dream station, WMMR from 1983-1996. One of her favorite perks of the job is getting to interview the artists. But if only she hadn't turned down Bono's dinner invitation back in 1981....She loves playing all the classic rock on WMGK Saturdays 3pm-7pm. Cyndy writes a blog on as Event Reporter. Led Zep - everywhere!

Led Zeppelin has been crazy busy these days. They become the first band to get the Kennedy Honors. Other artists have gotten honored like McCartney but this is the first BAND. The ceremony is Sunday Dec 2 and will be broadcast on TV Dec 26.

Jimmy Page, Robert Plant and John Paul Jones will be on the Late Night Show with David Letterman on Monday Dec 3. He's also being given the Kennedy Honor on Dec 2.

And then there's "Celebration Day" - what a fantastic film that is now available on DVD. And the press conference in NYC to announce the film - the whole band was there along with Jason Bonham.

And have you heard Philadelphia rock historian/author/producer Denny Somach on any radio stations lately talking about his new book "Led Zeppelin: How they became the biggest band in the world?" He's been on quite a few stations including MGK with Ray Koob for Get the Led Out and Denny will be on the air with John DeBella Dec 12 at 7:45 am.

Denny's book has lots of pictures, intriguing interviews, memorabilia, and a daily chronicle of the Led Zep history. It's reasonable priced at under $30 and available at Barnes and Noble,, etc.

Long live Led Zeppelin!
