It’s been three decades since he’s looked at the bottom of the bottle, but Alice Cooper has declared that he intends to explore his days with alcohol, yet again. This time, however, he’s doing it for the sake of Classic Rock, and intends to pay tribute to his old drinking buddies that once dubbed themselves the “Hollywood Vampires”.
Expect to hear tracks on an upcoming cover album from Cooper featuring songs from The Who, the Beatles , and Jimi Hendrix, according to Rolling Stone.
“So [Producer Bob] Ezrin and I are kind of bouncing it around right now,” the Detroit shock rocker told Rolling Stone. "We've never done a covers album, let's think about that.” Cooper added that he intends to hit the studio and record the album once his tour with Marilyn Manson ends in September.
Consisting of icons like John Lennon, Keith Moon, Henry Nilsson and even Bernie Taupin, Cooper’s former drinking buddies must have been quite the riot back in the day.
Don't know about you, but we can't wait to for Alice's new release. Who knows, he may have done just in time for Christmas!
