Foreigner Box Set Due Out October 14th

NEWARK, NJ - JUNE 26: Mick Jones of the group Foreigner performs at Prudential Center on June 26, 2014 in Newark, New Jersey.
Foreigner
will get the box set treatment on October 14 when it releases "The Complete Atlantic Studio Albums 1977-1991."

The package includes the group's first seven albums, from 1977's "Foreigner" to 1991's "Unusual Heat," its first without original singer Lou Gramm (Johnny Edwards took his place on that album). Each of the albums will also feature the bonus tracks originally released on the 2002 remastered editions.

Foreigner founder Mick Jones tells us that working on reissues is always a trip down memory lane, and mostly a pleasant one:

"Well, when you start, when you're sitting in the studio and you're listening back to the actual sessions and you're separating every track, it brings back so many memories...conjured up the old time you were in the studio, what was going on that day, when you put the guitar on, when you put the original kind of basic track with drums, guitar, bass...It's sort of eerie in a way because you're listening back to something that was done, that you did 30 years ago. It just brings up a whole lot of emotions, actually."

The current incarnation of Foreigner is currently touring, with a few dates left on its Soundtrack of Summer Tour with Styx and Don Felder along with headlining dates.
