KISS/Def Leppard Introduce Military Roadies For Summer Tour

WEST HOLLYWOOD, CA - MARCH 17: (L-R) Musicians Eric Singer, Paul Stanley, Rick Allen, Joe Elliott, Phil Collen, Rick Savage, Gene Simmons, Vivian Campbell and Tommy Thayer of KISS and Def Leppard announce the '2014 Heroes Tour' at House of Blues on March 17, 2014 in West Hollywood, California.
KISS
and Def Leppard kicked off their joint summer tour earlier this week in Salt Lake City and proudly introduced fans to two military veterans that will be acting as roadies for their 42-stop jaunt across America.

Back in April, both bands posted roadie positions to Military.com, and according to Salt Lake City’s KUTV.com, thousands of veterans applied for the coveted spots.  In the end, retired Army pilot Bill Jones was chosen for Def Leppard’s road crew and Marine communications specialist Kayla Kelly was chosen for KISS’s road crew.

Embedded below is KUTV’s news piece on the two veterans, and it sounds like Jones and Kelly are really getting the full road crew experience.

In addition to hiring two veterans, a portion of all ticket sales will be donated to USO, Project Resiliency/The Raven Drum Foundation, Augusta Warrior Project, Hiring Our Heroes, and Wounded Warrior Project.
