AC/DC’s Brian Johnson Confirms New Music & Tour

WILKES-BARRE, PA - OCTOBER 28: Singer Brian Johnson(L) and Angus Young of AC/DC perform during their 'Black Ice' Tour Opener on October 28, 2008 in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania.
AC/DC
frontman Brian Johnson has uttered some music to fans' ears.

In a brief statement on his motor sports website (www.brianjohnsonracing.com) thanking fans for supporting his TV show "Cars That Rock," Johnson said that "it looks very likely that we will be on the road again before the end of the year. So stand by for more music -- and more 'Cars That Rock.' "

Johnson also noted that he hopes to create more episodes of the TV show, but that "there is the slight distraction of my day job with AC/DC."

The band is currently in Vancouver working on a follow-up to 2008's "Black Ice," albeit without guitarist and co-founder Malcolm Young, who's been sidelined by unspecified health issues. AC/DC hasn't toured since wrapping up the Black Ice trek on June 28, 2010 in Bilbao, Spain.
