At 72 years old, Paul McCartney shows no signs of slowing down. He is still performing in front of sold-out crowds around the world displaying that child-like enthusiasm everyone has enjoyed for the past five decades.
Even a recent virus can’t keep him down!
Keeping it fresh and always enthusiastic is one of many we continue to adore Sir Paul. There’s no such thing as a “short set.” Sir Paul may be performing longer than ever before with many of his live shows at three hours with material spanning his entire career.
Plus, he knows how to bring that cheeky British humor. Check out this video of Paul sharing some funny comments with a fan during a show in New Jersey in 2012.
He is the ultimate entertainer, musician, songwriter, poet and philanthropist, and apparently, he plans to continue on that path.
In a 2012 interview with Rolling Stone McCartney says he has no plans on retiring any time soon.
“You get the argument ‘Make way for the young kids,’” McCartney said. “And you think F*** that, let them make way for themselves. If they’re better than me, they’ll beat me.”
You can’t argue with that logic.
Happy birthday, Sir Paul!
