It may have taken 15 years after Bruce Springsteen was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame to get the call, but last night at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, NY, The E Street Band finally got their due, being inducted by Springsteen himself.
As reported by RollingStone.com, The Boss took to the podium and delivered an emotional, heart-felt speech about the band that allowed him to tell “a story…that was and is bigger than anything I could have told on my own.”
This, of course, isn’t the first time Springsteen paid tribute to The E Street Band. When he was inducted in 1999, he honored them by saying, “My great friends…my great collaborators…my great band. Your presence tonight honors me. And I wouldn’t be standing up here tonight without your and I can’t stand up here tonight without you.”
