Ozzy Opens Up About Tony Iommi’s Cancer Diagnosis

LONDON, UNITED KINGDOM - NOVEMBER 14: Ozzy Osbourne, Tony Iomi and Geezer Butler of Black Sabbath attend the Classic Rock Roll of Honour at The Roundhouse on November 14, 2013 in London, England.
Ozzy Osbourne
gave a very candid interview to the Toronto Sun recently in preparation for Black Sabbath’s upcoming tour dates across Canada and touched on guitarist Tony Iommi, who was diagnosed with lymphoma in 2012.

Ozzy said that, “I always think cancer means death,” and that before his wife Sharon’s bout with colon cancer he “didn’t know anybody who’d recovered.”  Ozzy did confirm that Tony is doing well and that he hadn’t received, “one of them dark phone calls,” so it looks like even cancer won’t stand in the way of a Black Sabbath tour.

We really recommend reading this interview in its entirety, if only to see if you can read Ozzy’s quotes without reading them in Ozzy’s voice.  He’s like the Morgan Freeman of rock stars!
