Dave Clark
will be celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Dave Clark Five's arrival in America next week with the premiere of "The Dave Clark Five and Beyond -- Glad All Over," a documentary premiering April 8 as part of PBS's Great Performances series.

But wait, there's more -- a book.

Clark tells us that he's also written a memoir about his career, which will be the next project he tackles:

"I wrote a book. I haven't done anything more with it yet, but that's getting into all the nitty gritty and all the dramas and things that happened on the road and all that, which is good reading... I thought the book would take me six months to write and it took me nearly two years. Then I went back to finish it... It's all down. It just maybe needs to be condensed a bit."

Clark hopes to publish the as-yet-untitled book by the end of the year. A DVD version of the documentary with an additional two hours of material is also planned for release later this year.
