Since announcing their North American tour with Adam Lambert, many have been wondering whether or not Queen would record new material with the American Idol alum.
According to a recent interview with VH1 Radio Network, Brian May and Roger Taylor don’t confirm or deny the project but definitely leave the door open saying, “Anything is possible.”
As much of an amazing opportunity it is for Lambert to perform with Queen now, I would be curious to see what type of album he would help them create.
Speaking of new material, May and Taylor also said in the same interview that they came across some previously unreleased tracks with Freddie Mercury that sound great.
…Perhaps they could be released to coincide with the premier of the Mercury biopic that has been in the works for quite some time.
May said that production on the highly anticipated film would start in a couple of months, which is fantastic, considering momentum was halted when Sacha Baron Cohen, who was originally cast as Mercury, dropped out of the project. The role of Mercury has since been assigned to Ben Whishaw, who is best known for his role in “Skyfall”.
