Ian Anderson New LP Due April

Jethro Tull's Ian Anderson is going back to the brick for his next album.

"Homo Erraticus," due out in April, will be a third volume of the "Thick as a Brick" saga Tull started in 1972 and which Anderson continued with "Thick as a Brick 2," a solo album he released in 2012.

The songs will again be supposedly written by Gerald Bostock, the child prodigy Anderson created for the first "Thick" album and took into more adult subject matter on the sequel.

He's describing "Homo Erraticus" as "the next epic journey into the progressive rock pantheon of strangeness," and Anderson is releasing it on his own Calliandra Records label.

He'll be playing the piece during a spring U.K. tour starting April 28 in Brighton, England.
