Reunited 3.0: Paul & Ringo Returning to the Ed Sullivan Theater

After years apart, it seems like Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr are having a field day celebrating the 50th anniversary of their Ed Sullivan Show debut.

Following their surprise Grammy collaboration, the two surviving Beatles reunited the following evening for The Night that Changed America: A Grammy Salute to The Beatles.

The event was taped and will be broadcast on February 9 on CBS, 50 years to the day of their first appearance on Ed Sullivan.

Now Billboard reports that the special will include perhaps an even more important reunion, bringing them quite literally back to the beginning when they join forces to be interviewed by David Letterman.

For the uninitiated, The Late Show with David Letterman tapes at the Ed Sullivan Theater, bringing Paul and Ringo the exact place where The Beatles first brought millions of American fans to their knees.

Aside from a number of performances by both musicians, both together and individually, the special will also feature covers by Joe Walsh, Jeff Lynn, Stevie Wonder, Dave Grohl and more.

Can you believe it’s been 50 years since their Ed Sullivan debut? Sound off in the comments!
