KISS’s Gene Simmons Heading to “CSI”

Does “CSI” secretly stand for “'Christine Sixteen' Investigation”?

Though it sounds farfetched, perhaps it does, what with the news that KISS’s Gene Simmons has signed on for a guest spot on the hit crime series CSI.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Simmons will cameo as himself on the CBS mainstay.

“We’re really excited to have Gene Simmons guest starring on CSI, playing himself in a rock-and-roll themed murder mystery,” the show’s producers told THR.

The episode is expected to air on Wednesday, March 12, and there’s no news yet as to whether the episode will feature a KISS music tie-in.

Simmons is no stranger to television, having starred for several seasons on the A&E reality series, Gene Simmons: Family Jewels.

He also has a history of making guest spots as himself on TV series, including Castle, Family Guy and Ugly Betty.
