Classic Rockers Rule The Grammys



As The 56th Grammys kick off Rock legends rule the Rock categories.  

In the category "Best Metal Performance" Black Sabbath takes home the Grammy for "God is Dead?" from their album 13.  Sabbath beats out "T.N.T." from  Anthrax, "The Enemy Inside" from Dream Theatre, "In Due Time" from Killswitch Engage and "Room 24" from  Volbeat.

It is a day to celebrate for Led Zeppelin, scoring their first performance Grammy in the Best Rock Album category for "Celebration Day."  Zeppelin had some tough competition in  Black Sabbath's "13," David Bowie's "The Next Day," Neil Young With Crazy Horse's "Psychedelic Pill," QOTSA's "...Like Clockwork," and Kings on Leon's "Mechanical Bull."

Best Rock Song honors when to Dave Grohl, Paul McCartney, Krist Novoselic & Pat Smear who beat out Muse, Black Sabbath, The Rolling Stones and Gary Clark Jr.
