The Allman Brothers Announce 2014 Beacon Theatre Dates

The Allman Brothers Band will return to New York City in 2014 for another one of their famous concert runs at the Beacon Theatre.

According to a report from Rolling Stone, the Allman Bros., who have rocked the Beacon over 220 times since 1989, will hold this year's ten-show “March Madness” residency from March 7 - March 22.

Despite the fact that the group has played at the famous venue so often throughout the years, Gregg Allman states that he and his bandmates continue to find ways to change it up.

“Spontaneous things still happen,” the rocker tells Rolling Stone. “Going through the motions would be a real bore. I know a band that plays the same songs in the same order, they even say the same s**t at the same time every night. But, no, we’re all still real into it.”

Also on the horizon is the Allman Brothers’ archival release Boston Common 8/17/71, a live album captured the same year as Live at the Fillmore East, as well as the CD/DVD set Play All Night: Live at the Beacon Theatre 1992 and Live at Great Woods.

Additionally, the Allman’s Wanee Music Festival is slated for April 10 -12 in Live Oak, FL, with ticket info available on their official website.
