Journey is welcoming Steve Miller Band with “Open Arms” as the two groups team up for a new headlining tour.
Both bands will kick off the 2014 trek next May, hitting more than 30 North American cities, according to Blabbermouth.
“We are all so looking forward to playing again for you in 2014 with the great company of rht Steve Miller Band and Tower of Power,” the member of Journey said in a press release (via Blabbermouth). “It’s going to be a San Francisco musical delight from the past and present, moving full speed ahead into the future.”
The tour will feature nearly 40 tour dates, beginning with the inaugural co-headlining show ni Chula Vista, California on May 15.
Steve Miller also weighed in about the exciting new tour with their “brother San Francisco bands.”
“This is going to be a not-to-be missed trifecta of the best of soul, greatest hits and arena rock by three of the greatest bands to come out of San Francisco, clearly a once-in-a-lifetime event,” he said in the release. “We can’t wait to get started.”
Journey most recently finished up a summer tour near the end of November and will have a break until the big tour, while Steve Miller Band has a few Canadian tour dates in April before hitting the road.
