"Rush: The Illustrated History" to be Released in May

Pictures tell stories, and Martin Popoff’s Rush: The Illustrated History, is a story 40 years in the making.

Set for release on May 15, the book dedicated to the Canadian rock trio has “best seller” written all over it.

Rush, who formed in 1968 in Toronto, are one of the foremost names in progressive rock, with 18 studio albums under their belts. Popoff, a Rush expert, provides an in-depth look into the group through Rush: The Illustrated History. Compiling pictures, album reviews, commentary from other musicians and writers (including our very own, Gary Graff) and other information from those closest to the band, Popoff brings Rush’s illustrious career to life.

This chronological insight into the band is long overdue, and has as much anticipation as their upcoming Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction by Dave Grohl, who along with Taylor Hawkins might perform with Geddy Lee, Neil Peart and Alex Lifeson at the ceremony on April 18.

More exciting than waiting for the book’s release is the capability to reserve a copy. Amazon is currently accepting pre-orders for this visual work of art.
