Light the Night Walk
The "Light the NIght Walk" (http://www.lightthenight.org/epa/) is an event to benefit the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society(LLS). Last year there were over 5,400 walkers that raised over $840,000 for the cause in Philadelphia alone. This year's event will take place on 10/26/13 at Eakins Oval and we are hoping to break the 1Million mark. The walk in general is different from most other walks as it takes place at night. Each walker carries an illuminated balloon (red for support, gold in honor of a loved one who lost their battle, and white as a survivor). You can find more information on the the walk at http://www.lightthenight.org/epa/what/.
