CONTACT Community Helplines is looking for volunteers for its 24 hour/365 day a year Crisis Hotline.  CONTACT is a volunteer-based non-profit agency serving Camden, Gloucester, Salem and Cumberland counties in New Jersey.  The primary purpose of the hotline is suicide prevention, however a wide variety of calls are received.  Volunteers are provided with comprehensive training in communication skills such as active listening and caring confrontation.  Attendance is required at eight training classes which will be held on Saturdays from 10 am to 1 pm beginning on January 26, 2013 and running until March 16th.  Classes will be conducted at Kennedy Hospital in Cherry Hill.  This is a great opportunity to learn new skills, build your resume and make a difference!  For more information or to register for training, please call 856-795-5073, Monday - Friday, 9 am to 5 pm.
