Listeners who enter online will be required to provide the WMGK short code (645645), the contest keyword that the ‘MGK announcer provides on-air and which varies for each contest, and the entrant's first and last name and phone number. For security purposes, online entrants will be required to enter the code word(s) shown on the entry page before completing their entry. All web and text entries will be pooled together and a winner(s) will be chosen from that pool in accordance with the contest rules.

General Contest RulesUnless otherwise stated Classic Rock 102.9 WMGK contests are open only to legal residents of the United States, living or working in the Philadelphia metro survey area (as defined by Arbitron). All contest entries will become property of Classic Rock 102.9 WMGK. Prizes are non transferable or exchangeable and can not be substituted, except by sponsors, in which case a prize of equal or greater value will be awarded. Taxes, gratuities and all other incidentals are the sole responsibility of the winner. All winners must be at least eighteen years of age unless otherwise specified.

WMGK Contest Rules – ON-AIR CONTESTS ONLY Online listeners to the WMGK web stream may experience a reception delay of up to one minute. Listening to the station’s over-the-air broadcast is the best way to participate in our on-air contests. Odds of winning depend on number of eligible entries received. Non-cash prizes are not redeemable for cash. WMGK reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to substitute for any prize with one of equal or greater value. When conducting any contest in which listeners are directed to "be the first caller when you hear a song” by a specific artist (or a specific song), the following rules will apply: snippets of songs played for advertising or promotional purposes and music beds that contain music from the designated artist WILL NOT count. Only specific songs or songs from a specific artist that are played from beginning to end will be used to solicit contest calls. Listeners should try to be the first caller at 215-263-WMGK as soon as they hear the specific song or artist begin to play. Text Messaging:
If there is any dispute about the identity of an entrant, the registered user of the text message account on the date of entry will be the recognized entrant. All participants acknowledge that messages are distributed by third-party mobile network providers and Station cannot control certain factors relating to message delivery. Participants acknowledge that, depending on the recipient’s mobile provider service, it may not be possible to transmit the message to the recipient successfully. Station assumes no responsibility for, and does not guarantee in any way, the availability or performance of any mobile, text or data service, including liability for transmission delays or message failures.
Station does not charge a fee for text entries. It is each entrant’s responsibility to check with their individual carrier and mobile/data plan, as other charges may apply. PLEASE BE ADVISED THAT TEXTS TO THE STATION MAY RESULT IN ONE OR MORE AUTOMATIC BOUNCE BACK MESSAGES, FOR WHICH PARTICIPANTS MAY INCUR A FEE FROM THEIR PROVIDER. For texting contests in which entrants are asked to text specific information to a designated telephone line at a particular time or times (as announced by Station): At the time that texts are solicited, the criteria for winning will be announced (for example, first text message received with the correct answer). Only those text messages sent to the specific phone number provided, at the time texting is solicited, will be eligible to win. Texting to the main Station phone number or any other phone number are not eligible. Winners will be selected in accordance with the criteria announced when text messages are solicited.

How to Enter for a Chance to Win
Contest entries will be accepted from Thursday, April 4, 2013 through Monday, June 24, 2013 at 5pm (ET).
Entries may be submitted as follows:
1. Submit your/your band's video performance of one (1) song via the entry form on the Rock MD web page at wmgk.com . OR
2. Email us an mp3 track(1 track only) of you/your band to rockmd@wmgk.com. OR
3. Mail us a CD (1 track only) of your/your band’s music performance to

WMGK will accept submissions from bands AND solo performers/musicians. At least one member of the entrant (whether a solo performer or a band) must be a licensed physician (M.D.) or (D.O) with a medical practice in the greater Philadelphia area (within WMGK’s terrestrial listening area). Dentists are not eligible to participate in this contest.
Entries must include the full name, address, and phone number of the primary contact between the band/performer and WMGK as well as the name of each band member. If more than one song is performed, WMGK will only review and judge the first track on the CD, mp3 or video submission . All entries must be received by 5:00 p.m. (ET) on Monday, June 24, 2013; entries received after that point will be null and void. All entries will become the property of WMGK and will not be returned.
By entering the contest via a video submission, entrants (1) certify that they have all rights necessary to use the images and music contained in their video contest submission, and (2) grant WMGK permission to post, embed and/or link to their video on www.wmgk.com and to use the video for contest and other promotional purposes. WMGK reserves the right to take down any contest submission if it believes the video violates the rights of any third party.
Five (5) finalists will be selected and notified during the week of July 8, 2013. All finalists must confirm notification and participation in the finals event by Monday, July 15, 2013. If any finalist does not confirm participation in the finals event, WMGK reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to disqualify that finalist and select another band/performer as a finalist or proceed with a smaller group of finalists.
Finalists will compete in the Rock MD Finals on a date to be determined in October or November 2013 at Keswick Theatre in Glenside, PA. All finalists will have the opportunity to appear in a radio commercial advertising the contest and/or their medical practice that could air on 102.9 WMGK between August 2013 and November, 2013. However, becoming a finalist does not guarantee that a band/performer’s commercial will actually air. Finalists will be required to provide physical proof that the solo performer or an active member of the band (as applicable) is a licensed physician (M.D.) or (D.O.) who is currently practicing in the WMGK terrestrial listening area. If acceptable proof is not provided within 7 business days after notification of being selected as a finalist, the performer/band may be disqualified.
Being Selected As a Finalist
Finalists will be chosen by WMGK staff in their sole discretion; all decisions of the judges are final.
Finalist Event
The MGK Rock MD Finalist Event will take place on: a date to be determined in October or November 2013 @ Keswick Theater in Glenside, PA
Finalists must be able to participate in the Finalist Event in order to be eligible to be selected as the winner of MGK's Rock MD contest.
All Finalists must play a minimum of two (2) songs at the Event. Set time may not exceed 20 minutes in length. WMGK has the right to end a band’s/performer's set if they go over the time limit. WMGK has the right to subtract points from a band’s/performer's score, in the stage presence category, if they go over the time limit.
Judges will rate each Finalist on a scale of 1 – 10 according to the following criteria: stage presence, musicianship, and crowd response. The Finalist with the highest total score will be the winner of MGK's Rock MD contest. In the event of a tie for highest total score, the tied participants may be asked to perform one more song and the judges will determine the winner in their discretion.
WMGK will set up a band PA System and standard drum kit for each performance. All performers must use the equipment provided by WMGK only. All performers must use their own guitars, guitar amps, keyboard, keyboard amps, bass, bass amps, cymbals, drum sticks, and drum pedal.
Prize
One (1) prize will be awarded to the winning band, consisting of: a check for at least $2000 made out to the charity of the winner’s choosing; and two (2) days (maximum of hours per day; days do not be consecutive) of recording time at a recording studio TBD. Recording time must be initiated by October 31, 2014. Scheduling is subject to availability. ARV $
Prize will be awarded in the name of the band members/performer listed in the official entry form. False or misleading information regarding band members may lead to disqualification. WMGK must be notified promptly in writing of any changes in band personnel.
Rules may be updated from time to time if additional prizes become available.
WMGK reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to substitute any prize for one of equal or greater value. Winner(s) may not request prize substitution. Prizes are non-transferable and may not be claimed or used by any person other than the winner. Winner(s) must claim prizes by completing all required paperwork in person at the WMGK office within 30 days after contest concludes. Prizes not claimed within the 30-day period will be forfeited.
Eligibility
Each entrant band/performer must have at least one (1) active member who is a licensed Doctor (M.D.) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (D.O.) practicing in the WMGK terrestrial listening area. Dentists are not eligible for this contest. Previous winning band and band members are not eligible to enter this year's contest. Individuals or bands who are represented by an agent or talent agency are not eligible unless WMGK receives written confirmation that such agency and any associated commissions are being waived for all purposes of this contest. Under no circumstances will WMGK be responsible for any fee or commission to any agent or representative of any contestant. The WMGK 30 day and 365-day prize rule does not apply with the WMGK Rock MD Contest. Employees (including their immediate families and members of the same household) of Greater Media Philadelphia, its affiliates, promotional sponsors, advertising and promotional agencies who do business with WMGK, Cancer Treatment Centers of America and other radio stations in WMGK’s metro survey area (as defined by Arbitron) are not eligible to participate. The term “immediate family” includes spouses, siblings, parents and legal guardians, children and legal wards, grandparents, and grandchildren, including “in-laws.” Limit one entry per band/performer; multiple entries will disqualify the entrant. No purchase or other consideration is necessary to participate in a contest.
Release
By participating, entrants release and hold harmless the promotion sponsors, WMGK, Greater Philadelphia Radio, Inc., and each of their respective parents, subsidiaries, affiliates, directors, officers, employees and agents from any and all liability and any injuries, loss or damage of any kind arising from or in connection with this contest and any prize won. Winner(s) will be required to sign a form releasing WMGK and its affiliated companies from all liability in connection with the contest and the award and use of the prize before claiming the prize.

License
Entry into any contest constitutes full permission for WMGK and promotion sponsors and their respective affiliates to broadcast and/or to photograph or publish the participant's name, voice, contest entry/musical submission, recorded comments, biographical information, face and likeness, in any medium, without compensation. By submitting a video entry, entrants authorize WMGK to post the video on the WMGK website.
Taxes
If required by law, WMGK will report the total value of each prize to the IRS and will furnish winning band members with a federal Form 1099 (prize value will be divided equally among the band members). Winners must provide their social security number to WMGK for tax reporting purposes, and are solely responsible for payment of all taxes incurred as a result of the award of a prize.

WMGK Classic Cash May 2013 – Official Contest Rules
NO PURCHASE OR OTHER CONSIDERATION IS NECESSARY TO PARTICIPATE IN THIS CONTEST; PURCHASE DOES NOT INCREASE CHANCES OF WINNING.
Contest starts Monday, May 13, 2013 at 8am and ends Friday, May 24, 2013 a t 4:59pm (ET). The only way to get the information needed to participate in this contest is to be an @Work Network Member or to receive a phone call on behalf of WMGK with pertinent contest information. To become an @Work Network Member, go to www.wmgk.com and click on the @Work Network tab at the top of the home page. There is no fee or other consideration required to become an @Work Network Member.
During the contest period, @Work Network members can go to the @Work Network Member’s page on www.wmgk.com to find a listing titled “MGK Classic Cash Song Of The Day”. Click on the link to see each day’s Classic Cash Song of the Day and the approximate 30-minute windows of time in which it will play. Example: “Led Zeppelin 'Stairway to Heaven' - between 8:30a-9a;between 3:30p -4p”. Each Song of the Day will play two times on the designated weekday for a chance to win. The Classic Cash Song of the Day for each day during the contest period will be posted on the contest page the previous weekday at 5pm. Monday's info will be posted the previous Friday at 5pm. When the Song of the Day begins to play on the designated day during the designated window of time, be the 25th caller at 215-263-WMGK (9645). The 25th caller will receive a company check for $500 from WMGK, subject to confirmation of eligibility.
NOTE: Only the specific Classic Cash Song of the Day, when played in its entirety from beginning to end, will be used to solicit contest calls. How to Enter for a Chance to Win
From Friday, May 24, 2013 at 3pm through Tuesday, May 28, 2013 at approximately 9:00 am, WMGK (Station) will be counting down on-air the “Philly 500”, the 500 best Classic Rock songs of all time. When the number one song is played, listeners must note the exact time (hour and minute) the song started, as announced on-air. On Tuesday, May 28, 2013 at approximately 9am, John DeBella and Debbi Calton will invite listeners to call 215-263-WMGK (9645). The first caller selected who is able to name the correct time that the number one song started to play wins the prize, subject to winner qualification and confirmation of eligibility. The official time the number one song begins to play will be announced when the song begins to play and will be determined by the Station clock.
Online listeners to the Station web stream may experience a reception delay of up to one minute. Listening to the station’s over-the-air broadcast is the best way to participate in this contest. Winner qualification is subject to FULL phone call completion, and the verification of the caller’s name, address, home phone number, work/cell phone number and social security number, all of which must be provided prior to completion of the call. Contest calls will not be accepted at any other number.
Prize
One (1) prize will be awarded: a stay for winner and up to 9 guests at “the MGK Beach House” in Ocean City, NJ, for the dates of August 17, 2013 (2pm check-in) through August 24, 2013 (10am check-out). Prize is valued at $2050. Prize includes beach house rental only. Winner must bring their own towels and bed linens. Transportation, meals, and all other expenses are the sole responsibility of the winner. Winner and guests must comply with all rules and regulations established by the Beach House landlord, and will be responsible for any violation of the rules or damage to the Beach House. A CREDIT CARD will be required before winner receives the keys to the Beach House, to be used if any damages or expenses are incurred. NO PETS are allowed in the beach house. NO SMOKING is allowed in the beach house.
Non-cash prizes are not redeemable for cash. WMGK reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to substitute any prize with one of equal or greater value. Winner may not request prize substitution.
