Each June, on the Saturday of National Lemonade Days weekend (June 7-9), Alex’s “Original” Lemonade Stand is held. The stand that started it all invites Alex’s family, friends and all supporters of the battle against childhood cancer to an event complete with food, games, crafts, face-painting, music, raffles, and lemonade. Held at the school Alex attended, Penn Wynne, the inspiring day includes a butterfly release to commemorate and celebrate the lives of all children fighting cancer as well as those who have lost their life to the disease.

Father's Day is just around the corner. The Brandywine Lion's Club is celebrating the fourth annual Father's Day Celebration of Dad and His Old Machine at the Concordville Town Centre at the intersection of Routes 322 and 1 in Delaware County, Pennsylvania, on Sunday, June 16, 2013, from 9:30 A.M. to 2:00 P.M.

This year, one of the principle focus will again be for “Operation First Response”. The mission of Operation First Response is to support our nation’s wounded, injured and critically-ill military service personnel and their families with their personal and financial needs. Portraits of Dad and His Old Machine will be available from 9:00 A.M. to 12:00 P.M. for the first 100 pre-registered participants. Big trophies! There will be hot dogs, soft pretzels, sodas, and water ice available from the Lion's Club the whole day as well as great eateries right in the Center from which to chose. NO ENTRY FEE!!
