A Day Promoting Better Dog Ownership
And The Work Of
Animal Shelters and Rescue Groups In Our Area

             Each year people from all over the DeBellaware Valley show up for what has become the biggest outdoor dog fair of it's kind. An entire day devoted to promoting better dog ownership and health. The event is free to listeners and groups attending. 

 


       
 

 
Our Mission
      The event is a "Dog Fair," designed to be a great day out for people and their dogs, those looking to adopt, and those seeking information about particular breeds. WMGK listeners will also be able to participate in some fun contesting and most importantly, have the ability to gather information about:

- Breeds

- Rescue and shelter groups

- Dog Health

- Puppy mills and pet stores who sell mill animals

- Training and boarding

- New products

- Pet ID's 
- and much more

The Event
     The event itself will take place on Sunday May 4, Green Lane Park 2144 Snyder RD Routes 29 & 63 Green Lane, PA, from 10AM - 2PM. The park itself is about 6 miles from the Lansdale Exit of the N.E. Extension of the PA Turnpike. Get Door to Door Directions HERE
            If the date is rained out the event will be cancelled. Tune to 102.9 WMGK that morning in case of inclement weather. Any On/Off announcement about the event will be made that morning.

Itinerary for DeBella Dog Walk:
• 10 am – Event Start Time, games begin, caricature artist + dog photographer begin
• 11 am – Sheep herding demo
• 11:40-  Shortest Tail Contest
• 12:30 – Simon Says contest
• 1:00 – Sheep herding demo
• 2pm  - End Event
 
Activites, games, etc. for owners + pets

- Dog caricature artist - Caricatoonz artist John Sprague will draw a caricature of your dog
- Photo Shoot ($10 fee, $5 goes to charity) for your dog courtesy of Best Friends Photos
-- Dogs Playing Poker - take a pic of your dog iniside the "Dogs Playing Poker" image
- Simon Sez contest
- Shortest tail contest
- Shell Game - 3 cones, 1 will have a biscuit under it, can YOUR dog find it?  
- DEMO GROUPS - There will also be a few groups doing dog demonstrations this year.  More  information on demo groups forthcoming.

Chiaros's Pizza Restaurant. 

Safety
     We want this to be an enjoyable day out in the park with our pets, but there are some things to keep in mind.

*NOTE
     - There will be a large amount of dogs at this event. Listeners attending must adhere to the rules below or you will be asked to leave.

     - All dogs do not get along. If you have an aggressive dog or one that does not get along with other dogs easily, it would be better to leave your dog home.

     - DOGS CAN BITE. Listeners, their families, and their pets attend this event at their own risk.

     Event Rules
  • YOU are responsible for your dog.
  • Every dog must be on a lead AT ALL TIMES.
  • NO RETRACTABLE LEADS. (We're Serious)
  • Do not pet or feed other peoples dogs without their permission.
  • You must clean up after your dog.
  • Park in designated parking areas only.
