He was the voice of the counterculture comedic revolution...he was the voice that many of us listened to in our dorm rooms with our group of friends VERY late at night.  He was precise and insightful. He exposed our flaws and idiosyncracies. And he made us laugh even as we realized that he was talking about us!

Bo sang "I'm the Man" and he WAS the man. Responsible for that Bo Diddley beat that so many classic rock and rollers borrowed (think Magic Bus by The Who, She's the One by Bruce, Not Fade Away by Buddy Holly and countless others.)

My friend George Manney is working on a film on the Philadelphia pop music scene over the years. He's got so much material to work with, it might become a series. I was thrilled to interview John Elder Robison who recently wrote a book called LOOK ME IN THE EYE.
