General Contest Rules
Unless otherwise stated Classic Rock 102.9 WMGK contests are open only to residents of Classic Rock 102.9 WMGK terrestrial listening area. All contest entries will become property of Classic Rock 102.9 WMGK. Prizes are non transferable or exchangeable and can not be substituted, except by sponsors, in which case a prize of equal or greater value will be awarded. Taxes, gratuities and all other incidentals are the sole responsibility of the winner. All winners must be at least eighteen years of age unless otherwise specified. Only one winner per household per 60 days. After winning a prize valued at one thousand dollars($1,000.00) or moreyou will not be eligible to win any other prizes from Classic Rock 102.9 WMGK for one year. All prizes must be claimed within thirty days of the date won or will be forfeited. Winners may be asked to complete an affidavit of eligibility, liability and publicity release. Classic Rock 102.9 WMGK reserves the right to disqualify any winner if the contest rules have been violated in any way. Classic Rock 102.9 WMGK, Greater Media Inc. Their subsidiaries, franchisees, advertising and promotional agencies assume no responsibility or liability for damages, loss or injury resulting from acceptance or use of the prize or if the prize is tickets for a performance Classic Rock 102.9 WMGK is not responsible for show cancellations due to weather, promoter or performer and is not obligated to provide an alternate prize. If caller gets disconnected for any reason before their name and phone number have been recorded, another call will be taken for the prize. Internet Game & Contest Rules
Game and contest participants using the Internet must provide a valid e-mail address. Limit one entry per e-mail address. Classic Rock 102.9 WMGK and sponsors not responsible for technical, hardware, software or telephone or other transmission failures of any kind; lost or unavailable network connections; or incomplete, garbled or delayed computer transmissions whether caused by Classic Rock 102.9 WMGK, users, by any equipment or programming utilized in promotions, games or contests, or by human error which may occur in the processing of submissions, which may limit a participant's ability to participate. Classic Rock 102.9 WMGK reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to cancel or suspend a promotion, game or contest should a virus, bug, computer or other problem beyond the control of Classic Rock 102.9 WMGK corrupt the administration, security or proper execution of any Internet promotion, game or contest, or the Internet portion of any Classic Rock 102.9 WMGK promotion, game or contest. WMGK Contest Rules – ON-AIR CONTESTS ONLY
Online listeners to the WMGK web stream may experience a reception delay of up to one minute. Listening to the station’s over-the-air broadcast is the best way to participate in our on-air contests. Odds of winning depend on number of eligible entries received. Non-cash prizes are not redeemable for cash. WMGK reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to substitute for any prize with one of equal or greater value. Winners may not request prize substitution.
When conducting any contest in which listeners are directed to "be the first caller when you hear a song” by a specific artist (or a specific song), the following rules will apply: snippets of songs played for advertising or promotional purposes and music beds that contain music from the designated artist WILL NOT count. Only specific songs or songs from a specific artist that are played from beginning to end will be used to solicit contest calls. Listeners should try to be the first caller at 215-263-WMGK as soon as they hear the specific song or artist begin to play. (If a listener accidentally calls when a song snippet or music bed is played, s/he will simply be informed of the error; no harm, no foul!)

How to Enter for a Chance to Win
The WMGK Pong PointsPong Points Nights events will be open to all those in attendance at the Circle Bar at Philadelphia Park Casino when WMGK is executing a station appearance on a Thursday or Friday between 2:00pm and 7:00pm or 5:00pm and 7:00pm (must be 21+ to attend and participate). Visit wmgk.com for appearance dates, which will be updated from time to time. Throughout the appearance those at the Circle Bar will have the opportunity to receive 1 raffle ticket from an MGK staff member. At regular intervals throughout the appearance, a MGK staff member will pull 1 raffle ticket from the hopper. The person whose number is pulled will automatically get 5 seconds to put their hands or /cup in the MGK Pong Points Cube.
Before the contestant whose number is pulled from the hopper puts his/her hands/cup in the Money Cube, s/he will have the opportunity to answer two trivia questions. Questions topics may include (but are not limited to): pop culture, classic rock music, current events, Philadelphia history, Philadelphia sports history.
If the contestant answers the first question correctly, s/he will get an additional 5 seconds to put his/her hands/cup in the Pong Points Cube and will not be asked an additional question. If the contestant answers incorrectly, s/he will be asked another question for a chance to get an additional 5 seconds with the Pong Points Cube. No contestant will receive more than 10 seconds with the Pong Points Cube.
The contestants will have their allotted amount of time to pull ping pong balls from the Cube, and then deposit them in the COUNT IT BOX. The COUNT IT BOX will reside on a table a few feet away from the Pong PointsCube. The contestant must get as many balls as they can from the Pong PointsCube to the COUNT IT BOX without dropping them, in the allotted amount of time. The contestant will be made aware that their time has elapsed by hearing the MGK staff member tell them that their time is up. All balls will be returned to the Pong Points Cube at the conclusion of each contestant’s turn.
A contestant will receive credit for balls removed from the cube if and only if the ball has been removed from the cube and placed in the COUNT IT BOX residing on a table across from the Pong Points Cube. If the ball hits the ground while being transported from the Cube to the Box, the ball doesn’t count.
There will be a marked line on the floor between the Cube and the Box. If a contestant’s foot crosses that line but time runs out, they can deposit the ping pong balls in the COUNT IT BOX. The values of the balls in the COUNT IT BOX at that time will count. If the contestant does not cross the line before time runs out, the values of those balls will not count. Furthermore, if the contestant crosses the line, but drops balls on the ground while depositing them into the COUNT IT BOX, they do not count to their score.
If a contestant has not crossed the line and decides to deposit his/her balls remaining balls into the COUNT IT BOX anyway, their entire turn will be disqualified.
At the end of each contestant’s allotted time, s/he will have their “score” added up. The contestant’s score will be equal to the added point value assigned to the balls s/he moved from the Pong Points Cube to the COUNT IT BOX. Contestants will only receive “points” for the game balls they have in the bucket.
The Pong Points Cube will be filled with 4 different types of ping pong balls:
The total “point” value of the balls in the Cube will be 1,000.
The balls will be colored Yellow, Red, Blue, White
Yellow balls will be valued at 1 point. There will be 280 yellow balls in the Pong Points Cube.
Red balls will be valued at 10 points. There will be 12 red balls in the Pong Points Cube.
Blue balls will be valued 20 points. There will be 10 blue balls in the Pong Points Cube.
White Balls will be valued at 50 points. There will be 8 white balls in the Pong PointsCube.
Each contestant will have a maximum of one opportunity to reach into the MGK Pong Points Cube, regardless of how the contestant is selected
The MGK Pong Points Nights contest will end for that particular night if there is considerable damage done to the Pong Points Cube or the COUNT IT BOX.
Any contestant found cheating –bringing ping pong balls from outside into the Casino, depositing his/her balls remaining balls into the COUNT IT BOX when they have not crossed the line before time expired; etc will be subject to disqualification and permanent dismissal from Philadelphia Park Casino.
Prize
The top 4 point scorers will each be awarded (1) $50 American Express Gift Card. The contestant must be at the Circle Bar at the end of the station appearance, approximately 6:45 to 7:00pm in order to receive their prize. If one of the top point scorers is not present at the end of the appearance when the “ Pong Points Cube” game has ended and winners are announced, the next highest point scorer will be announced until a winner is present.

If more than one song is submitted WMGK will only review and judge the first track on the CD or cassette. All entries must be received by 5:00 p.m. (ET) Friday, July 17th, 2009; entries received after that point will be null and void. All entries will become the property of WMGK and will not be returned. Finalists will be selected by WMGK and contacted by Friday, July 24th, 2009 to confirm participation. WMGK will select a total of 16 qualifiers from among all entries submitted. Four qualifiers will perform at each Qualifying Round event.
Each qualifier must be available to perform at one of the MGK Houseband Qualifying Rounds, to be held between 8pm – 11pm on the following dates. WMGK may not be able to accommodate scheduling requests. If a band is selected as one of the 16 qualifiers and can’t make the date they’ve been assigned to, WMGK has the authority to disqualify that band from the competition and choose a new qualifier.:

The MGK Houseband Finals will take place on August 27, 2009 at 7:00pm @ Cavanaugh’s Riverdeck (417 North Columbus Blvd - Philadelphia, Pa). Finalists must be able to participate in the Finals in order to be eligible to be selected as the MGK Houseband. If a finalist band is not able to attend the Final event, MGK reserves the right to hold the Final event with 3 bands OR select another qualifying band in the Station’s sole discretion to participate in the Final event.
All qualifiers for the qualifying and final round must play a minimum of two (2) songs. Set time may not exceed 20 minutes in length. WMGK has the right to end a band’s set if they go over the time limit. WMGK has the right to subtract points from a band’s score, in the stage presence category, if they go over the time limit. All qualifiers for the qualifying and final round will be required to play one predetermined classic rock cover song, as selected by WMGK in advance that all bands that evening must play. One song will be chosen for the 4 qualifying round performances and a different song will be chosen for the final round performance. The remaining selections will be left to the discretion of the band. The weekly winner of each Qualifying Round will be determined by a pre-selected panel of judges immediately following each qualifying round, and will be notified on stage that evening. All weekly winners will advance to the final round on August 27th .
Judges will rate each participating band on a scale of 1 – 10 according to the following criteria: stage presence, musicianship, crowd response, originality (band’s ability to put their own mark on the cover song and/or find a way to make it their own). WMGK will set up the following equipment: band pa system, 1 bass amp, 1 guitar amp (additional guitar amps may or may not be available upon request), microphones, standard drum kit. All performers must use equipment provided by WMGK only. All performers must use their own guitars, their own keyboard (if their band requires a keyboard), their own keyboard amp and drum sticks.
Prize
Winning band will have the opportunity to play the MGK Let Freedom Rock Fest on July 4, 2010 at Cooper River Park. In addition, WMGK will identify on air the name of the winning band as the “Official MGK Houseband” throughout the year. Winning band will be required to play a minimum of 3 WMGK promotional appearances between August 29th, 2009 – July 5, 2010 for a set fee of $800 per appearance.
Winning band will receive 2 free days of recording time at Fifth Stone Recording Studios in Philadelphia, PA. Winner has one year to utilize their free recording time. Their free recording time will expire if not initiated by September 1, 2010. Scheduling is subject to availability.
Rules may be updated from time to time if additional prizes become available.
WMGK reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to substitute any prize for one of equal or greater value. Winners may not request prize substitution. Prizes are non-transferable and may not be claimed or used by any person other than the winner. Winners must claim their prizes (if applicable) within 30 days of notification of winning. Prizes not claimed within the 30-day period will be forfeited.

Any band that has won a previous WMGK House Band FINALS, meaning they’ve been named the MGK Official House Band in a past, competition, is ineligible to compete in this year’s competition. All participating band members must be at least 21 years old and legal residents of the United States. Individuals or bands who are represented by an agent or talent agency are not eligible unless WMGK receives written confirmation that such agency is being waived for all purposes of this contest, including any performances at WMGK promotional appearances. Under no circumstances will WMGK be responsible for any fee or commission to any agent or representative of any contestant. The WMGK 30 day and 365-day prize rule does not apply with the WMGK Houseband Contest. Employees (including their immediate families and members of the same household) of Greater Media Philadelphia, its affiliates, promotional sponsors, advertising and promotional agencies who do business with WMGK and other radio stations in WMGK’s metro survey area (as defined by Arbitron) are not eligible to participate in any contest presented by WMGK. The term “immediate family” includes spouses, siblings, parents and legal guardians, children and legal wards, grandparents, and grandchildren, including “in-laws.” One entry per band; multiple entries will disqualify the entrant. Bananas for the Birds – Customer Rules
1. Any individual who makes a purchase of Celutec Windows BETWEEN 8/01/09 - 8/31/09 (the “Qualified Sales Period”) from Windowizards located at 6240 Bristol Pike Levittown, PA 19057 is eligible to receive a rebate in the amount of the full purchase price, excluding sales tax and delivery charges, if the Philadelphia professional football team (“Team”) wins the professional football championship game currently scheduled for February 7, 2010 (“Big Game”). NOTE: Total value of eligible rebates is limited to $100,000, and the Qualified Sales Period may be terminated before August 31 if the maximum rebate value is reached. Eligible purchases will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis.
2. All purchases made during the Qualified Sales Period as part of the Promotion are final. No returns, exchanges or cancellations are permitted. Customers who purchase merchandise and do not wish to participate in the “Bananas for the Birds” Promotion must sign the non-participation agreement below.
3. Individuals who make a purchase during the Qualified Sales Period must PAY IN FULL in order to qualify as a Qualified Customer and be eligible to receive a rebate.
4. Qualified Customers’ right to receive a rebate will be determined if/when the Team wins the Big Game on 2/7/2010. If the Team does not play in or win the Big Game, no rebate will be provided.
5. In the event the Team wins the Big Game on 2/7/2010, rebates will be made to Qualified Customers (as defined in Rule #3 above) subject to the following:

How to Enter for a Chance to Win
The WMGK Dialing for Dollars events will be open to all those in attendance at the Adelphia Bar, 1750 Clements Bridge Road, Deptford, NJ, when WMGK is executing a station appearance between July 22 and September 23, 2009, on a Wednesday between 6:00pm and 8:00pm (must be 21+ to attend and participate). Visit wmgk.com for appearance dates, which will be updated from time to time. Throughout the appearance, those at the Adelphia Bar will have the opportunity to qualify to step up to MGK’s Dialing for Dollars Prize Vault and type in a 5 digit code of their choosing. If the entered code matches the pre-determined winning code (in exact sequence), and subject to compliance with all applicable contest rules, the participant who entered the winning code will win either a $50 AmEx gift card or the Grand Prize of $25,000.
There are two ways to get an opportunity to step up to the Dialing for Dollars Prize Vault: (1) by spinning the WMGK prize wheel and correctly answering a question from the category that the prize wheel lands on; or (2) by being able to produce the item that the MGK DJ hosting the event asks for (example: a pen that has black ink), or by fitting the description of what the MGK host asks for (someone who is wearing a shirt that has a band name on it). The first time a contestant steps up to the Dialing for Dollars Prize Vault they will receive a wristband. They must wear the wristband throughout the entire appearance in order to be eligible to step up to the Dialing For Dollars Prize Vault again. Prize

How to Enter the contest for a Chance to Win
Each weekday morning during the contest period, at approximately 8:20 a.m., John DeBella will play an audio segment from a popular classic TV show theme song on 102.9 WMGK (Station). To participate in the contest, listen for John to play that day’s audio clip and announce that he will take callers at 215-263-WMGK immediately after to identify the TV show that the clip came from. The first caller to correctly identify the clip wins the prize, subject to full completion of the call and confirmation of eligibility. Each day’s audio clip will be posted on the immediately preceding weekday at www.wmgk.com’s @Work Network Member’s page to allow ‘MGK @ Work Network members to familiarize themselves with the clip in advance. Prize
15 prizes will be awarded. How to Enter for a Chance to Win
Contest starts Monday October 5, 2009 at 11:15am and ends Friday October 16, 2009 at 3:45pm . WMGK will play two different Classic Rock Songs of The Day each weekday during the contest period. Those two songs will be the cue for listeners to call for a chance to win $500 each time the specific “Song of the Day” is played. Listeners will be informed of the Classic Rock Songs of the Day via a postcard from WMGK in the mail, by receiving an @Work Network member email from WMGK, or they can find out the Song of the Day by checking the MGK “At Work Network Member’s Page” during the contest period. Information will include what the Songs of the Day are for each weekday during the contest period, and the approximate times they will play. (Listeners can go to www.wmgk.com and register to become an @Work Network Member. There is no fee or other consideration required to become an @Work Network Member.) WMGK will not broadcast this information or instruct listeners to call in over the airwaves. When participants hear the Song of the Day at the designated time, they should call the station at 215-263-WMGK. The tenth caller will be declared that day’s winner.
Snippets of songs played for advertising or promotional purposes and music beds that contain music or lyrics from the Song of the Day WILL NOT count. Only the specific Song of the Day played from beginning to end will be used to solicit contest calls. Listeners should try to be the 10th caller at 215-263-WMGK as soon as they hear the Song of the Day begin to play. (If a listener accidentally calls when a song snippet or music bed is played, s/he will simply be informed of the error; no harm, no foul!)
Online listeners to the WMGK web stream may experience a reception delay of up to one minute. Listening to the station’s over-the-air broadcast is the best way to participate in this contest.

20 Winners (20) (total) will each receive a check for $500. The Prize of $500 will be given away, two per day, each weekday from Monday October 5, 2009 through Friday October 16, 2009. There is no fee or other consideration required to become an @Work Network Member. @Work Network members can go to the @Work Network Member’s page on www.wmgk.com to register for this contest. Interested contestants must register specifically for the Payroll contest in order to participate. @Work Network members are not automatically registered for this contest. Contest starts Monday October 26, 2009 at 9am and ends Friday November 13, 2009 at 4:59pm. During each hour of each weekday of the contest period, starting at 9am and ending at 4:59 pm, WMGK will select a name at random from all contest registrations received and announce the name on-air on 102.9 WMGK. WMGK reserves the right to determine the time within each hour that a name will be announced. Only the person whose name is announced may call to win. Each contestant whose name is announced on WMGK will have 10 minutes from the time of the first announcement of their name to call WMGK at 215-263-WMGK (9645) and be placed “on the payroll” to “earn” $100 per hour until there is another winner or until that day’s contest period ends at 4:59pm, whichever is earlier. An individual who is still “on the payroll” at 4:59pm will ONLY stay on the payroll the next morning if the first person whose name is called that morning does not call back within 10 minutes.
Weekly bonus prize: WMGK will award an additional $1000 to the Payroll winner who calls back the fastest during the particular week that they won. (In the event of a tie for fastest call-back, WMGK will randomly select the $1,000 winner from among the tied entrants.) The winner of the weekly $1,000 prize will be notified by phone within 72 hours after being determined as the weekly winner.

How to Enter for a Chance to Win
The WMGK Costume Contest at John DeBella’s Masquerade Bash will be open to all those in attendance at Finnigan’s Wake on October 30, 2009 between 8pm and 11:30pm. From 8pm (when doors open) until 11:30pm, WMGK’s panel of judges will walk through the crowd looking at everyone dressed in costume. Between 8pm and 11:30pm, WMGK’s judges will award 10 numbered FINALIST cards to the people they determine, in their sole discretion, are wearing the best costume. When a contestant has been given a numbered FINALIST card they will be asked to fill out the following information: First + Last Name, Hometown, Cell Phone, What they are dressed as.
The judges will bring the ten finalists up to the stage in 3 separate groupings at 3 separate times. Three (3) finalists will be brought up to the stage between 10:40pm and 10:45pm, another three between 11:00pm and 11:15pm, and four between 11:40pm and 11:45pm. Each finalist will be introduced separately and the crowd will be asked to applaud if they like that contestant’s costume. Based on audience applause, two contestants from each group will be eliminated (three contestants will be eliminated from the final grouping of 4), and the one contestant who receives the most applause in that group will advance to the Final 3. At approximately 11:50 pm, the 3 remaining contestants will be brought on stage again and introduced separately. The crowd will be asked to cheer for their favorite contestant. The contestant who receives the loudest applause will be awarded the first place prize. The contestant who receives the second loudest applause will be awarded the second place prize. The contestant who receives the third loudest applause will be awarded the third place prize. All applause levels will be determined by the WMGK judges, in their sole discretion. All decisions of the judges are final and binding.

The entrant and WMGK hereby waive any and all right to trial by jury. If any provision of these Official Rules is declared or found by a court of competent jurisdiction to be illegal, unenforceable or void, then such provision will be null and void but each other provision hereof not so affected will be enforced to the full extent permitted by applicable law.
